Lab Services

CAM Medical Group offers a quick, convenient, and reliable way to get the necessary diagnostic tests, all in one place.

Lab testing is an active part of routine health screenings and helps in the early detection of most health issues, which is vital for managing chronic conditions. Our skilled medical professionals have access to advanced technology to ensure accurate and efficient results for a variety of lab tests.

Whether you need routine blood work or specialized screenings, our lab services eliminate the hassle of going to another place and making repeated test appointments.

Blood Tests

We offer the possibility for a wide range of blood tests designed to deliver accurate diagnostics with quick results. These tests help assess various aspects of your health, from organ function to nutrient levels.

  • Complete blood count (CBC): This test evaluates different components of your blood, including red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells (WBCs), hemoglobin, and other key markers. It can help identify conditions such as anemia, infections, and immune system disorders.
  • Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP): A CMP checks kidney and liver function, blood sugar levels, electrolytes, and protein levels. It provides a broad overview of metabolic health, liver function, and kidney efficiency, making it essential for routine health assessments.
  • Lipid panel (Cholesterol test): A lipid panel measures total cholesterol, LDL (low-density lipoprotein), HDL (high-density lipoprotein), and triglycerides. Lipid panel results are used by healthcare practitioners to assess your cardiovascular health and cholesterol metabolism, supporting risk evaluation for heart disease and stroke.
  • Blood glucose test: This test measures the amount of glucose (sugar) in your bloodstream, which is crucial for diagnosing conditions like diabetes and prediabetes.
  • Hemoglobin A1C test: Unlike a regular blood glucose test, an A1C test provides an average blood sugar level reading over the past three months. It is the gold standard for diagnosing and monitoring diabetes.
  • Thyroid function tests (TSH, T3, T4): These tests assess thyroid hormone levels to evaluate thyroid gland function and hormone regulation. They help determine whether the thyroid is underactive or overactive, which can affect metabolism and energy balance.
  • Liver function tests (LFTs): LFTs measure enzymes and proteins produced by the liver to evaluate liver health and metabolic activity. These tests help detect liver diseases, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, and fatty liver disease.
  • Kidney function tests: These tests assess how efficiently the kidneys filter waste from the bloodstream. They measure blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine levels, and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) to monitor kidney function and overall fluid balance.
  • Iron panel: Iron is essential for producing hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the blood. This test helps diagnose iron deficiency anemia or hemochromatosis (iron overload), both of which can cause symptoms like weakness, dizziness, and irregular heartbeats.
  • Vitamin and mineral testing: Nutrient deficiencies can lead to various health issues. We offer testing for essential vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, and Folate (Vitamin B9).
  • Hormone testing (Testosterone, Estrogen, Progesterone, Cortisol): These tests assess endocrine function and hormonal balance in your body. They provide valuable data on metabolism, reproductive health, and stress response, helping monitor hormone production and regulation.

Urine Tests

Urine tests are a key diagnostic tool that can help detect a variety of health conditions, including kidney disease, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and metabolic disorders.

Urinalysis (Routine Urine Test)

A urinalysis is a standard test that examines the color, clarity, and chemical composition of your urine. It can help detect:

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Kidney disease
  • Diabetes
  • Liver problems
  • Dehydration

This test involves checking the urine for protein, glucose, ketones, red and white blood cells, and bacteria. If abnormalities are found, further testing may be required to determine the underlying cause.

Urine Protein Test

A urine protein test checks for high protein levels in urine, which can indicate kidney damage or disease. Normally, protein is not found in large amounts in urine, but elevated levels may signal conditions such as:

  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD)
  • Diabetes-related kidney issues
  • Hypertension-related kidney damage

Allergy Tests

Allergies can significantly impact daily life, causing symptoms ranging from mild discomfort to severe reactions. Our allergy testing services help identify specific allergens triggering your symptoms, allowing for effective management and treatment.

  • Skin prick test (SPT): A quick, minimally invasive test where small amounts of allergens are applied to the skin. If you are allergic to any of them, a small, red, itchy bump is likely to appear. This test detects allergies to pollen, pet dander, mold, food, and more.
  • Blood allergy test (IgE Test): A blood allergy test measures immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies to identify allergic reactions in response to specific allergens. It is ideal for those who can not undergo skin prick testing.

Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Testing

We offer confidential, accurate, and fast STD testing in a comfortable and professional setting. We provide testing for a wide range of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including:

  • Chlamydia & Gonorrhea
  • Syphilis
  • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)

We use various testing methods based on the specific infection being screened. This includes:

  • Blood tests – Used for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis
  • Urine tests – Commonly used for chlamydia and gonorrhea detection
